McGraw-Hill Home Interactive Appoints John Koronaios as New Vice President of Sales

Koronaios builds strong sales force as children's multimedia titles near fall ship dates

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. August 27, 1996: McGraw-Hill Home Interactive (MHHI) today announced that John Koronaios has been appointed as vice president of sales and worldwide distribution. Koronaios' responsibilities include establishing the MHHI sales force, developing partnerships with retailers and distributors and creating a strong distribution network both nationally and internationally. Koronaios' sales efforts are for McGraw-Hill Home Interactive's four new children's multimedia titles, Dr. Sulfur's Night Lab™, The Fennels Figure Math™, Pony Express Rider™, and Pyramid: Challenge of the Pharaoh's Dream™. These titles will be available on store shelves in November '96 for Windows 95®, and in the first quarter of 1997 for the Apple®Macintosh®.

"Koronaios' extensive sales and retail channel expertise with consumer multimedia products positions us to develop an effective distribution network for our titles," said Bill Nisen, president of McGraw-Hill Home Interactive. "Koronaios will focus on major computing and retail software distributors and consumer electronics stores, allowing MHHI to gain a strong presence in these outlets."

Koronaios joins MHHI from IBM Multimedia Studio, where he served as vice president of sales. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of sales operations and developed a concise network of sales managers and rep organizations for the IBM consumer software division. Prior to this, he was vice president of sales for Sony Electronic Publishing Company, where he managed sales for all PC CD-ROM and video game products and worked with Sony Computer Entertainment helping to launch the Sony PlayStation. Koronaios has also held positions at Capcom USA, Inc. (Nintendo Division), Timeworks, Inc. and Wherehouse Entertainment, Inc.
